This contest is a celebration of inspirational women. Our journey as people and writers is to recognize those who display great attributes, those who endure through diverse challenges, and those who enrich us with their words. This contest is dedicated to all those women who have added to our lives, and made it easier for us to have hope. I encourage all writers to commemorate their loving memories of a phenomenal woman.
Oneal Walters’ 2nd Annual Women Inspirational Poetry Contest
This is a call to all poets who write about WOMEN. Write about someone who inspires you. You may use a character depiction, a triumphant situation; can surprise us with your talent. ALL writers welcome; original and unpublished entries. Winners will be notified in April 2010 by Oneal Walters; their names and the title of their winning poems will be published in OW News found at www.onealwalters.com. All poems remain the property of the poet.
1st Place $110 US, and an interview in Chapter and Verse

Chapter & Verse (www.chapterandverse.ca) aims to showcase Canada's rich literary talent. While you will find features on many well-known names on this site, the primary goal is to promote emerging and as-yet unpublished authors and poets. This website is a stage for writers to connect with a wide audience, and potentially catch the eye of publishers looking for new talent. We will publish a report on the contest winners and their winning Women Inspirational poems.
In addition, Chapter & Verse in connection with www.proauthorsites.com is offering the top three Winners a waiver of the $250 setup fee for the creation of your own website, and $100 off the setup fee for all other contest entrants. (Setup fee includes domain name registration, hosting, email addresses and all taxes. There will be a $25 monthly hosting fee.)
The World Poetry Cafe Radio Show 102.7 FM, internet: COOP Radio and the Creativity Rocks short, are honoured to read the three winning Women Inspirational Poetry Contest poems on the air. People interested in finding out about the World Poetry Cafe can go to program description, then membership; and to become a member, please put in the name of the World Poetry Cafe so that we receive the credit.
Poetic Monthly Magazine (www.poeticmonthly.com) wants to publish the three winners of the Women Inspirational Poetry Contest. Also, we will be giving a printed issue which displays their winning poems. We average about 400+ readers each month. The magazine is over 100 pages per month.
